Fiat Yamaha Team Interviews [video]
Wed, 16 Dec 2009Fiat has released a series of interviews with Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and other members of the World Champion Fiat Yamaha MotoGP team. The interviews were conducted after the post-season testing in November but the interviews were recently released with English subtitles.

Rossi talks about winning his ninth world title and AC/DC while Lorenzo talks about being “satisfied” with finishing second to his teammate, and both riders plug their new websites. Rossi’s team manager Davide Brivio also offers insights on working with Vale.

More interesting perhaps were the interviews with the other members of the Fiat Yamaha staff that rarely get a mention.

Team photographer Gigi Soldano discusses his first impressions of Rossi early in his career and how he seemed to lack the focus required for a world champion.

And then there’s race event coordinator Laura Motta who may have the most important job on the team, organizing the Fiat Yamaha paddock girls. You don’t really need the subtitles, just Motta’s hand motions to understand how she describes the California blondes at Laguna Seca (okay, maybe that’s why Lorenzo can feel satisfied being in second. He certainly looks more than satisfied in the pic above!)
